OMG formatting this chapter was a headache, it’s footnote galore so please prepare yourselves. We did a lot of researching for this chapter!

Also, once again, please welcome Lily to our team! The bulk of this chapter was actually translated by her and she did a fabulous job! Both Lily and I just finished final exams so hopefully we can start cranking out those chapters, no promises but chapter 16 should come soon too! Maru did a beautiful job translation checking and special thanks to my friend and Maru’s mum (real MVP!) for clearing up iffy parts with us!! Hopefully, this chapter will read as smooth as butter even with all the Chinese aspects thrown in~

It’s pretty late now so I’ll leave it at that (I swear I spent like an hour+ just formatting this chapter LOL). Please enjoy the chapter everyone!!

Exams are right around the corner, but the good news is that we have a new translator joining for this project. Everyone, please welcome Lily! Both Lily and I have finals in December (although a bit staggered) and Maru is going on a trip for a week so we can’t guarantee quicker updates this month, but we’ll see if we can step up our game after finals hell pass!

OK, like before, my TLC/editor Maru is still in NYC so they haven’t gone through this yet! I asked a friend (love you friendo!! QAQ) to speed TLC it for me so I’m confident about the accuracy, but word choice might not be as perfect as it usually is, please forgive me for that! Maru said they’ll be back TLCing chapter 14 (they’ll also catch up with part two of Chapter 12 and 13 by then) so please check back later for the nicer versions if you have time!

Ugh, I’m currently typing this at near 3AM. This would have been up a couple of hours earlier had my suite-mate not blasted her radio at 1:30AM and I had to try and ask them to not??? This university residence and its customer service is terrible. This roommate of mine blasts her music so loudly that you can hear it loud and clear through 2 closed doors and 3 walls down (according to the suite-mate living furthest away from her — I unfortunately live right beside her and I swear the decibel levels are like a rock concert) at odd hours like 2AM and 4AM and 5AM etc, but the manager told us we needed to ‘compromise’ and stuff (compromise what?? my sleeping time???) and now the manager went on vacation for two weeks so I can’t even contact him to complain. They make us pay $2600 per month for a tiny room and an apartment suite I share with 3 people, and this is the customer service they give me?? SCREAMS.

Anyway, enough about my horrible suite-mate and my lack of sleep. This chapter, we meet a certain special someone! Hope everyone is excited for it~

Long chapter this weekend! Heads up though, our poor translation checker/editor Maru got pretty sick during their trip and only managed to edit the first half of part two, so I got a friend who did a quick skim translation check! Maru said they were sorry and that they’ll come back to re-tlc after they’re better, so please check back in for the better and improved version then haha!

The beginning of this week had been super rough for me. I woke up on Monday morning to print my two reports due later, and right before I printed, my laptop blue-screened and wouldn’t go past the BIOS screen. It made me so stressed I swear my cortisol levels (remnants from my physiology midterm knowledge…) went off the chart AHAHAHA.

But now that’s done with, I can finally get a few days of sleep. My next midterm is on Monday for biology lol, wish me luck again…

Anyway, here’s the second part everyone’s probably been waiting for. The mystery is finally solved, although this chapter ends up on a cliffhanger, haha. Hope everyone enjoys it regardless!
